Is it at all possible that a new letter could be added to the alphabet .Were there 26 letters in it since it was first formed or have letters be added There is no way I could think up a new letter ,was there ever an attempt to do so ?

Educated English do pronounce it. What's needed isn't a 27th letter but, rather, better education in England...

Plenty educated English folk don't pronounce it either. mind you why do we pronounce it as "hw" when it's "wh" anyway?

Just read that in Old English there was the "hw" form for some words.

In Spain "ch" is another letter, but we do not have w, we have double V. We also have enye, ñ.

and in Catalan, we even have a l.l, which I have no idea how to pronounce. So a word would be col.legi.

Just like the prayer says the prayer .Maybe introducing a symbol above letters would help to show the letters in that mean be pronounced differently like other languages have .Since shakespears time thousands of words have been introduced .Imagine if he had the words available to him we have now .Maybe romeo & julite and kyle ..Mid and last of the summers dream .Twenty five men from verona and so on (is it ect or etc )
