They got Gadaffi, non-USA style.
Apparently they have captured Gadaffi, without shooting him in the head and chest a few times ala Osama.

Going on the link, hardliners are moving in and some mosques have been attacked, surely this is what many fear, Islamic fundamentalists getting the foot in the door, and whilst the country is in a state of upheaval muscle in. BBC News are showing the vulgar footage over and over and over. Was it absolutely necessary to kill him? I guess he would have experienced a similar fate to that of Saddam otherwise. Everything I know about Gadaffi has come from the media and you know what they say 'If you don't watch the news you are uniformed. If you do watch the news you are misinformed'.
And how many did he kill and maim, mountainboo? I thought it was a result of a NATO attack on the convoy - did they know he was in it? I think it puts a cap on that one and spares all the court cases in Tripoli or The Hague, and the associated costs, and also the risk or glorification and martyrdom.

One hopes but the M-East isn't known for its democracy, it's an alien culture to most of them, their government and administration being much more clan-based (now in the form of Royal Families for most) and the use of advisory councils structured through society to feed issues and problems upwards - and the "solutions" downwards
