Re; Epson Photo Stylus R300 Printer.
Having just bought a stack of ink cartridges for this printer I'm now getting a message telling me that some working parts are 'in need of replacement'.
Is there a compatible printer available so I can use the cartridges, or is the R300 still on the market ?
Cheers.

Don't write off your Epson Printer. The 'Need Replacement Parts' message is a marketing ploy.
Two years ago I had the same problem with an Epson Stylus Photo RX425 and a little research sorted out the problem. And the printer is still going strong.Have a look at this video - it tells you all.

And here is a similar link which tells you how to get the most out of your cartridges. Your printer may say they are empty - don't you believe it!

Thank you all for your answers, particularly sir.prize for the great link.
Perhaps I didn't explain things clearly, but I was looking to buy another printer on which I could use my existing cartridges. However, with sir.prize's input I may be able to revive my excellent R300 which, Trimeresurus, works perfectly with compatibles.
