Medically unfit for jury sevice

I have acute tinnitus and have less than 20% of normal hearing ability on a good day with attacks that render me effectively deaf. Is there a way to be taken off the jury service list or do I have to wait until I'm summoned and argue the point later? Thanks in advance.

A letter from your GP would surely settle this before you are due to attend jury service.

If you over 18 you are a juror in waiting. If you are ever called you make your excuses at that point, they will then decide if you don't have to do it.

As someone who has been called 4 (yep four) times I know these things. However my neighbours, who I have lived next door to for 27 years, have never been called.

I don't know if you can be removed from the list but have submitted a letter from my doctor as RATTER15 suggests. No argument, no problem, don't worry about it.

I would wait until you are summoned and deal with it then. It may never happen.
