Outlook Gif Help
4 Answers
Afternoon Answerbankers,
I am trying and failing to send an email with an animated gif in the body of the email. But can only get it inserted as an additional file that you have to click to view. I want the recipient to be able to just open the email and the animation to be there in with the text. I have googled some 'how to's' but I can't seem to be able to get further than inserting the file in the email - which you still have to click to view. I am unsure what outlook I have as it is a work PC I am currently on and I usually use hotmail at home etc... Do you know an easy way for me to be able to do this?
Thanks for your help

According to the step by steps I have found online it is an easy thing to do but I cannot for the life of me get it to work. And the email is going to be sent to my entire office so we all have the same outlook and pc setups. Thanks
Are you sure that your computer (and those of your colleagues) are configured to use HTML mail, rather than to use plain text? In your new mail window, go to Format and check that 'Rich Text (HTML)' is selected. That option needs to be set in both your outgoing mail AND on your colleagues' computers in order for an embedded image to be sent and displayed.
