Unneccessary Packaging
13 Answers
I was fortunate enough to win a prize recently. It was a normal size ballpoint pen. I have just measured the box it came in at 190 x 95 x 34 mm. The only other thing in the box was the multi-language guarantee paper.
It was also delivered by DHL.
This seems extreme overkill to me. Anyone else had deliveries with silly packaging?

Apples from M&S - they come in their own tray with a plastic lid, and then the unit as a whole is wrapped in plastic.
So there are three pieces of unneccesary packaging.
And then they charge 5p for a carrier bag for, apparently, environmental reasons.
Surely if they were that concerned about the environment they wouldn't feel the need to wrap 4 apples in 3 separate bits of packaging.
