Is there a problem with MSN Messenger, MSN.com and Hotmail?
I've not been able to get onto MSN Messenger, MSN.com or read my Hotmail e-mails for the last two days.
I am encountering this problem on my PC and my iPhone4.
When I try to log on via my PC, I get an on-screen message telling me, "we can't sign you in to Windows Live Messenger. There might be a problem with your internet connection".
When I click on "show details", it shows me error code 80072efd.
When I click on "Troubleshoot", it tells me there is a problem with my ports. When I then click "Repair", it doesn't repair the fault, but shows me error code 80048820.
When I try to log on via my iPhone4, I get an on-screen message telling me, "Can't sign in. Try signing in with a different Windows Live ID or go to http://login.live.com on a PC".
When I try to do that, I get the sign-in box, but it doesn't allow me to enter my password.
I know there is nothing wrong with my internet access on either my PC or my iPhone4 as I can surf the net without any problems.
HELP, PLEASE, giving your answers in layman's terms :o)

Thanks for all your answers.
It transpires that someone "hacked" my account and then MSN "blocked" the account - I'm not sure how they knew my account had been "hacked", but I'm not gonna worry.
Anyway, I went onto MSN's website and navigated around their "help" section and eventually got my account restored after answering some security questions and setting up a new password.
