Vosene Competiton - Thank you
37 Answers
Thank you all so much for your help in the Vosene Competition.
Unfortunately it wasnt enough, and we have lost.
It wasnt for want of trying though: by us or our friends and family - but also to the AB board members. As I said early this morning, my wife and I both recognise, that without he help and support we received here, we would have lost this competiton some time ago.
So thank you all for your time and commitment.
To those who intimated that I had just joined to garner votes .. well, there may have been an element of truth in that to begin with - but I did frequently visit this forum (without ever particpating) .. and I hope I am here to stay!
Once again, thank you all .. and Congratulations to the McBrides!

Thanks all for your commiserations, and all the support as well. it is a huge shame, but we gave it our best shot!
On the plus side, our rennovation is finally really happening in earnest, and going fantastically well - so plenty to occupy our minds, and hopefully we wont be in the caravans too long!

Karl you have my utmost admiration. My OH wants to do a self build on a plot of land we have been offered (for free - I know, lucky sods we are). I cannot bear the idea of running a legal practice and living in a caravan with 4 cats and 2 kids. It will have to wait (the plot of land is available indefinitely so it can jolly well wait).
Thanks Ummmm .. you would believe how tough a week Ive had at work!
Marmaid, my advice (has changeds again!) definitely go for it .. I ummm'd (sorry) and ahh'd for about 20 years before doing it. 2 years in planning made me think i had made the biggest mistake of my life, but now the build has started, it is the most exciting thing we can imagine.
And I finally have an Avatar ... ;o)
