Barry Trotter and the shameless parody

Has anyone read this book?
My 10 year old got from the school library and I happened to pick it up and doesn't seem to be aimed at children if the character Flatulent Fanny is anything to go by! Also seen a reference to the Buggering Birch. It seems a pile of crap to be honest, just wondered if anyone had read all the way through it and could give an opinion on it's suitability (or not!!!) for a primary school library.
Cheers.

By the sound of it, I'd say is isn't suitable for primary school children. Parodies like that have been around for a long time (I recall seeing one for Lord of the Rings back in the 70's) and from memory they are usually found in the humour section of bookshops, but with other books aimed primarily at adults, as opposed to being in the children's section.

There was a whole series of them came out just after the Harry Potter stories made it big. They are indeed a shameless parody of everything that is Harry Potter and JK Rowling.
I seem to recall Rowling took the author court, as she does most people who dare to publicly criticise or take the micky out of her work.
