How to determine the generation of an I touch

Can anyone help a frustrated pensioner. I purchased my I touch in September 2010 it is 8gb-T049391 No.04299110.and need to know what generation it is.

The reason I need to know is that I recently downloaded I Cloud to my Mac computer and assumed that the I cloud icon would appear on my I touch after Syncing with the computer but this has not happened.

I note that in the Jargon it says that I cloud is only compatible with 3rd. and 4th. generation I touch machines.

Any help would be appreciated

Have a look here, it lists all the ipods amd generations.

It doesn't look like there is an 8gb 3rd generation so I reckon it is a 4th.
