After some of the unsavoury remarks proffered by some of our "sensitive" ABers following the death of Sir Jimmy Saville can you just imagine AB threads following the eventual demise of Margaret Thatcher?

I like Maggie. I know I am in the minority, I think she did what had to be done. The unions had far too much power. Scargill should have been kicked into touch years before he was. I don't think he did their cause any good at all.

I like and admire Maggie also, and Scargill while the miners lost their jobs he still has a pension.

I won't be saying anything about Thatcher after her death that I'm not saying now. i couldn't care less what sex she is, her record provides quite enough grounds for criticism.

I'm also not going to ask what Jimmy Savile got up to at King's Cross that might have affected his reputation. Something to do with Hogwarts no doubt.

Awful woman .
She's quite fond of despots. She refused to annul the election in which Mugabe came to power which was violent in the extreme.
She also got on very well with that other despot Pinochet.
She created the me me society we live in today,sold off the family silver and decimated industry in this country .
Created jobs for the boys and her husbands cronies .The city boys were lighting their fat cigars with tenners and quaffing fizzy while others went to the wall and had their homes repossessed

Much as I dislked her and her policies, she's elderly and a bit doolally now but I hope she lives out her days in peace .
