I'd like to hear some general views on the place:
What kind of town is it?
What are the people like?
Any local folklore you're aware of? Urban myths are also welcome.
Now you have got me interested. Like the sound of old fashioned town with lots of little streets which would hopefully mean lots of little individual shops. Would it be easy to travel to from the Stranraer Ferry?
It's not that easy, Spotit3. Stranraer and Inverness are over 250 miles apart, with the train journey involving at least 2 changes (and more usually 3) and typically taking around 7 or 8 hours. (It's not cheap either, with an off-peak return fare of £85.40).
If you're travelling from Belfast, FlyBe operate from Belfast City airport to Inverness, with return fares from around £75:
