My son is going on a school trip next week, and needs to dress in "WW2 costume".
I was going to send him as Hitler, until I read that they'll be making gas masks, and ration books, so he obviously needs to go dressed like an evacuee child.

What could I dress him in? Any help would be really appreciated, as I'll need to get the stuff tonight/this weekend. Thanks :-)

I would love to be a fly on the wall if he walked in as Hitler
plain white shirt, 3 quarter length trouser not cargo trousers knee socks and a tank top smart black shoes gelled side parting -done! oh and a luggage tag round his neckx
and a suitcase
I'd still send him as Hitler :-)
what about grey short trousers, socks, lace up shoes, shirt, neckerchief, waistcoat??

hope he has a great time!
yep and a wee suitcase! ahhh
I remember my son doing this for school! We had to make a gas mask box with a string to hang over his neck and a lugguage name tag. I guess you could dress him in a white school shirt with a tank top?
Why not compromise, Flippers ................ send him as Hitler as a ten year old being evacuated from Austria ................ complete with moustache :o)

Excuse the delay.
So yeah, I was going to send him as Hitler. It was the first thing that came into my head... and a brilliant idea, I thought!
Thanks for all the fantastic suggestions and pics. I have found a evacuee costume on Ebay, so he'll be going in cropped trousers, a shirt and tank top and a flat cap. I'm trying to find some suitable shoes. Was thinking Black lace-up brogues? Also going to get some card and string, and do the name thing attached to his coat. Loving the gelled side-parting, that is right up my street! Think I'm more excited than my son!!
