Same here. Just started in the last few minutes.
Too wet here so it's very quiet.
1 has just gone off over our house and it rocked it to the foundations..i thought i was back in iraq lol
I used to love Guy Fawkes night. All the displays round here were cancelled years ago. People kept complaining about finding rockets in their gardens. Spoil sports :|
Best to have tonight in many parts as the whether will be worse to-morrow.
I thought the earlier heavy rain here would put people off but it's started here big time in the last half hour or so and loads more sirens than usual too.

I had to doublecheck I hadn't got the date wrong for the big event in the park right by me there were so many loud ones a bit ago.

I'm not far from the Curry Mile here too so will probably get some Sunday and Monday too for the Eid celebrations. We have the largest Libyan population in the UK there so had quite a few after they got Gadaffi the other week.

I love fireworks!
Noooo Carlton :( I'm looking forward to tomorrow, hope it stays dry!

It's out Christmas lights switch on Wednesday so got that at least (on my birthday too :)) and they tend to put on a great fireworks display for that.
Very noisy here,a while ago. The dog has been shivering, and panting-so no-I don't like fireworks all that much.

People very annoyed in my town - pathetic council switches off all street lights well before midnight every night and going to reduce our wonderful Christmas lights in the town BUT will put on a spectacular firework display - MAD!
The noise here is drowning out the TV. I hope it will soon be over.
For anyone with dog that is bothered, try giving them a treat and making a big thing of it every time a big bang goes off - rather than trying to placate them. They do seem to be lasting for shorter periods now though, so perhaps people can't afford to buy as many. I wish they were restricted to organised displays and only on November 5th though. Can you imagine celebrating New Years Eve on another day?
That won't work for my dog, lankeela. She gets so upset-taking food or treats is the last thing she wants. I wish I *could* distract her that way.
