The phone has just rang and someone asked for Chris, I said no, think you've got the wrong number. He then said well who's that - how would that make any bloody difference? (Not long sat down after getting 4 out 5 of the children to bed, so not best impressed.)
The other night I answered the phone to hear someone saying "Holly"'I answered quickly saying "Sorry there's not a Holly at this address" It turned out the person had said"Hello" -She tried to explain why she was calling but I'm afraid I just put the phone down-it was perhaps rude of me but I'm not very good at foreign accents!
I received a call late one night, on the other end of the line a soppy male voice said how would you like to smack my bare botty.I answered with how would you like a kick in the b______ks. I never heard from him again
Vodafone mixed mine and a district nurses number up once. I kept getting calls for her, the callers used to phone 3 times in a row determined they had dialled the right number, I had had my No for 5 years by then and I kept telling them to tell her to phone vodafone.....well she did after I had a call from a man whos wife was in labour....twice. Funny that was the last call I ever got for her!
Have had five wrong number calls in the past two days. All asking in almost intelligible English for (I think) Isabelle. I never identify myself or confirm my address. New phone, same number. Am I doing the correct thing?
