Mixing Paint

Is it Ok to mix matt and silk emulsion paints together?

I've done it can't remember if it ended up matt or a sort of eggshell finish... but really mix well

Yes .. Both are water-based. You will end up with a finish in-between.

Can't think why not. Why not try a small amount and see how it goes in a discreet corner ?

Thanks all, I have lots of odd bits of paint and thought I might try mixing some of them together, maybe adding some white, depending on the resulting colour, to paint the utility room where we are not too bothered about the finished colour.
