Do any kids of the 80s on here remember Heavy D of Heavy D and the Boyz?

He's died - he was only 44.

Mr Big Stuff was one of my favourite songs of the late(ish) 80s.

I was an 80's teen, and I can honestly say I don't remember him. He didn't feature largely in my radar of Duran Duran and Spandau Ballet. However a terrible tragedy for his family- so young too.

I vaguely recollect him. Did he do a cover of 'Now that we found love'?

Yeah i remember him and have a few 12"s and Lp's of his, such a shame and i didnt realise he was that young. Overweight lovers in the House and We got our own thang were also good tunes.

yes, thats right Matt. I'm sure that was early 90s though. I wouldnt have attributed him to the 80s.
