Just neighbourly or should I feel bad?

I came home to find the lawn out the front had been mowed. Thinking my Dad might have had a half day I assumed it was him. He also assumed the same of me.

This means my neighbour must have done it for us through the day. I will pop round later to ask and thank them but I'm not sure whether to tell if they just felt like doing it while they had their mower out (it takes about 20 minutes to do it) or if they just got sick of looking at the overgrown grass, although I didn't think it was that bad.

I'm worried now! Do you think I should take something round to say thank you?

yes take something and be very glad! x
Dont be worried, sounds like you have great neighbours ! Can I borrow them ?
I would pop round and say thank you do they want to do it on a regular basis lol...a token gesture would be nice too like some biscuits or choc chocs.
That's really sweet. I would guess that they done it just because they have the mower out.

What are they usually like?
That was very kind - can we swap neighbours?

We don't often see each other, most people tend to keep themselves to themselves here although when I do bump into them they are always very nice. But they do keep their gardens lovely so I'm thinking they probably thought ours was making them look bad.

I might ask if they want to come round and do the carpet cleaning I have planned for Saturday. :)

Do you think a little box of chocs or something is suitable to say thanks (and sorry)
I came home one evening to find my front garden all neat and tidy (it wasn't bad) with new bedding plants in it. Turned out my neighbour had booked a gardener to do his. He then had to do the neighbours a few fays later.

Well I popped round with a box of chocolates. The wife said her hubby thought he might as well just do ours while he was doing his. Very nice people!
