Try it:
Copy a file into a folder by your usual method (Drag and Drop, or Copy and Paste)
Copy the file again, and the Teracopy window will pop up, point out that you already have a file of that name and ask what you want to do. The second button down on the right (I think) offers Autorename All. If you click it you'll find that you now have your original file, plus another with the same name but with the suffix "_2".

Be aware that left-drag and drop uses TeraCopy Automatically.
Right-drag and drop will bring up a menu which includes the usual "Copy hee" and "Move here" options, but also "Teracopy here" and "TeraMove here".

Doesn't seem to work on Outlook Express, and using FireFox.

Don't quite know what you mean by Left-drag & drop, and Right-drag&drop.

If you mean the right and left mouse buttons, it still doesn't make any difference, I still get the same 'Confirm File Replace' window come up.

hang on in there, I don't use OE, so will have to set it up, put some emails in there, and test it.

When you drag and drop from OE to a folder, although it refers to it as copying, it is not a true copy operation; it's actually an export. The export operation relies on code which is built in to OE and is not part of the Operating System.

Teracopy works brilliantly when you are performing a true copy (ie copying files from one disk or directory to another)

Thanks rojash for going to all that trouble to get an answer to my concerns.

Perhaps there are some out their that use OE, and have experienced the same trouble when they try to copy an Email that bears the same name as another?

One would think that there should be a way of somehow altering the names of similar Emails, so that they can then be identified as different.

There is a way, but you might find it long winded:
Create two folders:
One for storing your emails, and one as a "staging post".
Drag an email from OE to the staging post (at which point it will be converted to a file).
Drag the email from the staging post to the actual required destination, at which point, if there is already one of that name, Teracopy will offer to auto-rename it.
