unlock lg cookie

i have just got a new phone from virgin

and want to give my old phone to my girlfried

an lg cookie both phones are legit (sp) i.e not stolen. how do i unlock the cookie
so she can use her vodaphone sim in it

You can either buy the unlock code online, as here:

or take the phone to your local market, where there will almost certainly be at least one stallholder who can do the job for you (usually for around a tenner).

Go to your local Carphone Warehouse they unlock phones but it depends what type it is. My friend had a lg cookie KP500 which is the phone with the keyboard on it! Hers was Orange and they didnt do O2 in it so she bought a O2 Sim Card brought it to the Carphone Warehouse and they do something to the phone to unlock it and make it O2 so her phone wasnt Orange no more! Every phone has a different code. If you wanted to unlock 1000 Lg Cookies you'd need 1000 different codes. The only way to get the code for your phone (which is different to the code for anyone else's phone) is to enter the IMEI for your phone into the software that only authorised phone unlocking services possess. That's why you have to pay to get the code.
