ive answered this before, so have just copied and pasted
i saw something last september (2009)here in cambridgeshire. It was just after dark and we were driving home after a day out with friends (they were in car behind) We were about 6 miles from home
Mr CRX was driving so i didnt say anything when i saw a bright orange light in sky. I thought it was a plane as we have many waiting overhead for stansted but it moved suddenly across the sky before disappearing.
A few days later a neighbour stopped me asking if we had been home that eve. She thought we had been as she'd seen our garden light go on, but mustve been cats as we arrived home about 10 mins after she had seen our light.
Anyway she said she'd seen a UFO. She was watching out of the back of her house when she saw what she thought was a plane in the sky. She said it took 2 seconds to move from one side of her field of vision to the other.
I immediately called the friend who was in the car behind us tha night and just asked if she'd seen anything odd on way to ours that night. without any further prompt she told me she'd seen this light too, joking that she thought it was a UFO but hadnt mentioned it as her husband hadnt seen it and thought she was being silly.

I'm sorry butterfly, but I thought that was fake too - maybe you did as well ?! What I saw wasn't the usual lights in the sky thing. I was walking to the pub one winter's night with my then bloke when suddenly something floated past my line of vision The best way to describe them is that they were roughly the size of the old half crown piece and round, the middle was slightly transparent and the outer rim was thicker and looked white. There were about six of them and as I say they just slowly floated past. My bloke was a bit cynical and very down to earth, so I didn't say anything to him, but he suddenly blurted out "what the bloody hell was that?!" I asked him did he see them too and he had and we just stood there looking round for them, but they'd disappeared as quickly as they appeared. I often think about them and wonder what they were. And no, we hadn't been to the pub, we were on the way there (lol).
redcrx, yours is interesting.

Yes. Many years ago just stargazing I noticed a "star" was moving, not in a straight line or a curve but more like the cursor on an Etch-A-Sketch making random lines and angles across the sky. A couple of friends also saw it and try as we might the full powers of our collective teenage brains couldn't come up with an answer so, unidentified.
