My friend has her Internet provided by BT so uses their email service which she has always got on just great with, about two weeks ago she said that a pop up appeared saying "New Look Available" click here which she did but cannot get on with it at all and just wants to go back to the old style look but does not no how to get it back, can anybody tell me how? - she is running Windows 7 by the way

Please could you give more details? Is she using webmail or an email program?

Webmail means using a website to get her email (BT joined up with Yahoo, so you use your Internet browser and go to http://bt.yahoo.com to get your email).

An email program is something like Microsoft Outlook Express.

However, are you sure she's got a BT email address? Maybe she has a Google email address (@gmail.com or @googlemail.com). Google Mail launched a new look very recently.

As far as I know BT uses Yahoo to provide e-mail via the web. Also as far as I know, once you've upgraded there's no going back. It's a fair bet that shortly everyone will have to upgrade, and they'll discontinue the old one altogether.

Thanks for your answers, and yes it is through Yahoo and having just logged on to her account on her laptop it seems as you said that you cannot go back to the old system once you have upgraded so I guess her options are stick with it or go for GMail or something similar.
