FAO Ummmm or anyone else interested in carpets

I did my carpets with the rug doctor today and it was bloody brilliant! There was one particular patch that was totally gross with stains that I've tried to get out for ages with no success and it's cleaned it up really well. You can still see a few little spots but they are no way near as dark as they were before.
The only thing I would say is that the machine gets through the water and solution quite quickly so I ended up having to pop out to pick up some more solution as I used a lot more than I thought I would.
Would defo reccommend! Might post a pic later if I decide I'm not too embarrassed about how filthy the carpet was before.

You would have thought my house was on the beach, there was loads of sand in there. Sure it would help you asthma as I think hoovering just brings the dust to the surface but this thing sucks it right out and down the drain.
Fire - That's far too polite! ;)

Wow! I've been tempted to do mine for a while after spending ages with those foam cleaners with little effect. I've only got upstairs and the stairs carpeted, only have a tiny house and it's the bathroom which is the grubbiest (who puts cream carpet in a bathroom???). I have two cats who shed a lot of black hair and forever trying to clear it up.
Do you know if you can get them delivered/collected as I don't drive. Would need someone to help me move stuff anyway. I could see if a friend could help me though. Wondering if it's cheaper that way or to hire someone to do them. Might look out for some offers, had one through the door a while ago with a big discount but was too broke then but hopefully getting a tax rebate soon :)
