// Nearly 200 members of the far-right English Defence League were arrested in central London yesterday after police discovered that they planned to attack the protesters occupying St Paul’s Cathedral.
The group of 172 were held inside the Red Lion pub near the Cenotaph in Whitehall after detectives discovered intelligence that they planned to head to the London Stock Exchange occupation. //

You would have thought that these patriotic English gentlemen would have had more respect than to plan aggro on a day of remembrance. Do you think this campaign group have been infiltrated by the BNP?

//// Why would they plan an attack on the protesters at St Pauls if their motive wasn't racism? ///
If they were planning an attack on the protesters at St Paul's, they would have done it before, after all they have had plenty of opportunity, because those protesters have been there long enough.
No this was just another excuse for wrongfully arresting this group of 172 people who were not guilty of committing any crime, except being members of the EDL.
Let's hope those responsible are sued for wrongful arrest and interfering with the groups civil liberties, just as others have sued in the past, but then members of the EDL wouldn't be granted legal aid like others of course.

/// Of course you never write absolute tosh and always support statements with definite proof.///
It may appear as tosh to you, just simply because you don't agree with what I say.
I also always to the best of my knowledge support everything I say with as much definite proof that I can possibly find.
But then no matter where one collects their proof from, who can say that is true proof, there will always be some to oppose the facts if they don't happen to fit their own particular personal agenda.
But what I just do not do, and that is to invent absolute lies just to try and belittle anyone, or to distort the facts.

Why is it that all protesters seem to be deemed as the Left or as Lefties. I cannot see the connection between the Left and the EDL. In fact if anything, the EDL appear to be trading quite the opposite path.
Now if someone said Labour were Lefties, I would agree … after all, didn't they let the vast majority of foreigners into the country.
