I can half remember a song from the very early nineties..I think.

The chorus went along the lines of: ribbydibbydoombadoomdadey

It was by a black artist..and err I've been stumped on this for ages. Any help appreciated

Cheers guys but no joy so far...It was definitely a 90's track, I'd say pop/reggae and the artist (though i've searched them in vain) was from the era of Pato Banton or Bitty McLean and had a similar sound.

the song I'm thinking of is a deep voice going "deh... ba deh... ba whadda dah dey" and it's got a classic early 90's rave beat to it, might be way off the mark though!

I think sod's law best describes it.....

After years of intermittent searching for this tune; an hour after posting I cracked it myself ! I did this by entering about 100 differently spelt versions of 'ribbydibbydoombadoomdadey' and trawling through various forums, Bebo's and rival 'answer' sites. I never remembered it as a good tune but was mortified to find it was a Dion Dublin lookalike destroying a Stevie Wonder classic.
