unwanted phone calls

anybody had any problems with a company called "yes loans" someone unknown to me has sent them a request for a loan with my phone number on not my name i might add . ive had 7 calls in four days, ive told them ive never asked for a loan,don't need one or ever heard of "yes loans" four times they said ill take your number off the computer, but i'm still getting these blasted calls om my land line

i haven't, but i would ask to speak to somebody senior when you get anothetr call and make a complaint! that should do it! x
I'm not sure of the No you ring Degg, but its to do with Nuisance calls, better still just put the phone down thats what I do with a lot.
You can register with the Telephone Preference Service at www.tpsonline.org.uk or by calling their automated registration number: 0845 070 0707.

Alternatively, far more fun, say "Yes, I'm interested - just hang on while i get some papers" then leave the caller hanging on and go out for a drink.

i am registered with tps its not a cold call, someone has filled in a form on their internet site and put my bt number down, its the fact i have to stop what i or we are doing to answer the phone, btw it sounds like north east accents they have,
cath if they call again i will ask for a senior person to speak to and also tell them i'm recoding the conversation (lying of course) but they wont know that
