Answerbank crashing Firefox? :-S
Why does Answerbank crash my Firefox? When I open it in a tab it’s fine for a couple of clicks, then it doesn’t load (anticlockwise grey spinning circle on the tab) and according to task manager firefox starts gobbling up my CPU%, continuing to do so even after I’ve closed the AB tab?
Running Windows 7, plenty of RAM and no other problems with other more complex sites.
Thanks for any help.

But it is not impossible. I have suspected some sort of bad code has existed here before which can cause a problem with instability of the browser.
I am looking at this at the moment ..
One possibility is that Firefox loads 'plugin-container.exe' when needed to help with media playback .. and the odd flash entries could present an issue.
Check this on the web. You can disable plugin-container from loading.
It's not just common to FF8 tho .. going back will not help.

Thanks again, Barry, and many thanks, Albags. Let me know how you get on with your research! In the meantime, does IE or Chrome or any other browser have a similar adblock facility? I don’t mind ads, I'm not averse to a click through or two, and appreciate it’s a site funded by them but it looks like a bloody fairground in here with all the animated nonsense.
