So the protesters have been told to leave by 6pm tonight or a legal bid to remove them would be lodged at the High Court if they ignore the request to go.

What kind of threat is that, it is obvious that they will just ignore the council, and if months down the line they loose their case will the courts fine them and also make them pay the costs?

I don't think so somehow, Just like the travellers, they will move on and then return.

I know AOG - it's just too narrow to get the tanks down there and with the cost of petrol right now flame throwers are simply out of the question!

We'll just have to settle for legal methods until you manage to depose the whimpy democratic Government that insists on obeying the law
Did you see what they did with their protesters in the US?
In my view England has laws and due processes and this makes it a desirable place to live. An alternative would be to send in armed "goon squads" to drag the protesters off and "disappear" them.

We need smart bombs that destroy buildings and leave people standing...or is it the other way round?

'Armed goon squads', 'Dragged off and disappear them'.

What alarmist rubbish, we do not yet live in an Islamic country neither do we live in a Communist country.

The Americans did not hang about and they cleared their streets successfully.
if the police or the council are intent on removing the protesters, they should do what the American police did, take the tents when they were unoccupied over night. Those protesters have a right to go back to that park, but not with their tents and sundry equipment. Can see this being another debacle though
