New Brakes Don't feel right

I had all my brake disks and pads replaced on Saturday. I took it easy when driving for the first few days as advised but today I've noticed that every now and then they feel funny. It's hard to describe but it feels a bit like I'm going over stones. It's not happening all the time and I've not done any hard braking at all when it's been happening. I've done probably around 300 miles since they were fitted. Should I get them checked out?

You could do for peace of mind. If something is found it can be corrected. If nothing is found hopefully that'll calm any fears. Brakes do need to bed in though so it's not unknown for it to seem a little odd for a bit. Not that I'm very mechanically minded.
500 to 1000 miles ofr you to get the same feel back. Get them checked but don't be shocked if they say they are okay
sounds like ABS kicking in.
Blimey - "I agree with Kayless" - could be a faulty ABS sensor - get it checked by the people who did the work
take it back and get it checked out.

Thanks for the answers. Good point about the ABS. I know when I've had the feeling before the ABS light has flashed on the dash. Unfortunately when my mechanic was fixing one of the bushes (also on Sat) he accidently broke a switch which means the ABS and and a couple of other lights are permanently on until it's fixed. He should be coming to fix that some time next week so I'll see if they brakes still feel odd then and mention it.
