At last!! Anya Eliza Hawkes arrived at 7.21pm on Saturday night, I was exhausted having spent 24 hours at the hospital myself but baby's mum had a 48 hour labour and so I shouldn't can't moan!
Anya is being given intravenous anti-biotics every 12 hours in the special care baby unit but in between that she is on the maternity ward with her mum, but she hasto sta in 5 days : (
It's going to be a long week, the hospital is 21 miles away and my son is spending each day there from 12 - 8. I took a week off to be there for them at hme but looks like it's going to be more hectic than expected! But baby is improving already and so it should all be fine.

cheers wendi, I'm visiting from 7 - 8 tonight and can't wait to see her again, she was born wide awake and was very animated when I first held her on saturday.
I have started the tree craft, but not been back to it for a few months, it's my winter hobby now,

cheers puss, the mum worked so hard in the last 24 hours before Anya arrived and she didn't ask for any pain relief except gas and air and then in mid- push she turned to my son and calmly and sanely said 'your working as normal tomorrow so set the alarm' lol, it was obviously having an effect lol
