I am interested in joining the police force. Can anyone give me some information on this, I would like to know what is involved in the application, the medical and the fitness test. Also once all these have been done, what is the next step. I am 28 and have been thinking about it for awhile now

hello, my friend joined a while back, it envolved practical, reading, writing, maths tests. However, once he'd passed these tests and the interview process. he had - real life scenario type interviews...which he failed on. I don't know what they were looking for, but he went through the process again and he passed. He is now a police pfficer and very happy. But as a 'new boy' he gets all the ***** jobs. But i guess that's the same wherever you work xxxx

Oh yeah, and if you're planning on applying to the Met, you'd better not be in a hurry!!! My friend's been waiting over 8 months for applications just to OPEN. :-(

The interview board will be looking for "Honesty and Integrity" any sign of that and you won't be acceptable.
