B00, after our conversation about spiders, I didn't suck the last one I saw up the hoover - I ignored it and it disappeared. God knows where it went - but for me, that was really something. we have loads of the little jumping spiders in our garden (and sometimes on the window ledges for some reason) those and money spiders are the only ones i dont run shrieking from....

Naomi well done you - much braver than me, if i thought it was still wandering round the house I'd have to move out (yes I know there are probably loads in the house already but if i can't see them i don't owrry)

chelle, I know all the reasons we shouldn't kill spiders, and I know being scared of them is stupid, but I can't help it. I'm trying. :o(

venator, my husband got one of those humane mouse traps to catch a mouse - but he forgot to check it, and the poor little thing starved to death. It really upset me. :o(
