Hi, Sure you've had this answer already, but here goes. Not sure which version of Excel you're using, but if it's 2007/2010:
Make sure there are no totally blank rows or columns in your block of data (just title at top of column is OK), and the titles at the top must only take up a single row. As long as you follow these rules you can safely use any option on the DATA tab. Now make sure you are only selecting ONE CELL in your data before you select any option - this is also important! If you now click the DATA tab FILTER icon (looks like a funnel), you will get little triangles beside each title. I bet this is all the help you will need now. You can sort into order - like same nos grouped together, and filter to only show a certain number etc. Using the filter drop-down triangles should now be the solution to your problem. You could also try using the DATA tab SUBTOTALS icon - but you must first sort your data into telephone number order - this way you can ask to get a sub-total for each number called.
