Dozy twits who don't use Indicators
25 Answers
Why do so many drivers never use their indicators these days?
Are they making cars without them now?
Are drivers so bone idle that they can't make the effort to flick a switch?
Are they just plain thick? Perhaps they think they're saving the planet.
Or completely selfish and thoughtless?
I think I know the answer - all of these.
I'm getting fed up of sitting at a junction waiting for a car to pass me before I turn only to find they then turn off before they reach where I am. So I could have gone if the selfish ***** had signalled. Today I followed a dozy woman who just stopped in the middle of the road in front of me without warning. Eventually, she turned right into a garage. No signal used.
What is wrong with these people?

Maybe susie got so fed up with the people that don't indicate she decided to shoot out peoples indicators; that is why we never see people indicating!

I have been known to pull up beside or (honestly) have to park next to non idicaing cars and I will most often give them a tap and say " I think you need to get your car checked over" and when they ask why I say "your indicators don't seem to be working as I have been behind you for xxx turns and they didn't go off once".
That often gets a reaction of some sort.

Generally speaking I'm less concerned about folk that don't use indicators than I am with those who overuse them, or worse use them when they are going to confuse rather than inform. One ought not to trust indicators anyway, they are only an indication of possible intent. Better to watch what the other guy is actually doing.
Car manufacturers went to all the trouble to invent and fit devices to relieve drivers of winding down their windows to hand signal their intentions for turning and slowing down, and now people can't even be bothered use them. Seems like it should be made compulsory to use hand signals for a year, then maybe they would be glad to just flick a switch.
