Head scarves

Anyone know where to buy on the High street the square headscarves that used to be available in polyester, chiffon and silk? All the stores seem to only have the long narrow types. I want to buy one for an elderly neighbour. Many women used to wear them in windy weather and also round their necks/shoulders before slipping on a coat or jacket. They were a popular Christmas gift.
