Gef states that cornflakes contain iron filings in answer to a previous question. Is there any evidence of this ?

At work I have a book of experiments published by the Royal Society of Chemistry and, hopefully, I will remember to look up the details tomorrow. I do remember that the cornflakes themselves are not magnetic but if you grind them to a very fine powder then you can extract the iron with a magnet.
