Hand Held Mini Vaccuum Cleaner

I am looking for a decent hand held vaccuum cleaner for small areas in the house/stairs etc to save me carrying the large hoover around with me. There seems to be such a lot of choise on the market, and I am a little lost to be honest!
I need one that recharges (not one with batteries), as I would like to be able to sit it on a cradle to recharge before using again. My budget is really no more than £40, is there any hoovers out there that anyone could genuinely recommend?
