I know it's not important in the grander scheme of things, however,
the kitchen clock has stopped. As has the living room clock and the TV remote has gone on holiday.

Each take different types, but why when you go to the drawer where the extras are kept, they've vanished ?!!

One of the mythsteries of life methinks....do you have elves in the house who steal batteries and perhaps are passing them on to santa...

Like everyone else, we have the sock-eating monster who lives happily in the washing machine and the Borrowers too who live somewhere behind the skirting.

Now if I've got elves, I'm going to start charging rent.
I can always find batteries. Just not the right ones...

Mr Alba, last night, was getting confused between his AAA and AA. Told him we were all glad he wasn't into World Finance.
Mr D has that trouble as well, perhaps it's a man thing lol.
It's teaspoons in our house that go walkabouts!
These elves get everywhere jd.

I put a stop to the teaspoon nicking, I asked them not to do it as it was becoming rather annoying. Now it's knives, 'eck, I hope they're not escalated to serious crime.
lol, its a night mare when that happens, i have to keep rotating batteries between products! Teaspoons are a night mare i have 8 but ca only normally find one or two! need to get some more as its beyond a joke. The borrowers moved out when the toddler learnt to walk, she does a far better job at hiding things! sock gremlin, put all socks into a pillow case and knot the end then they cant escape lolx
I've got a kitchen drawer full of batteries, just never the ones I actually need.
Doesn't something similar happen with light bulbs? They never seem to go one at the time - always 2 or 3.
You are making the fundamental error that existence is somehow rational. You have to keep up the pretence or otherwise folk will think you're insane, but in private we all know different. Your batteries have vanished because reality thought it would be amusing to see you puzzled so made them no longer exist, or maybe moved to somewhere inexplicable.
