Is there a solution for this?
I have recently purchased a complete shower riser kit, but the new narrow bore hose (although it seems to fit to my Redring electric shower unit) leaks terribly, but the wide bore hose (which does not leak) does not fit into the hole where the shower head goes. Is there a difference between double interlock hoses and others? Any helpful suggestions extremely welcome - am running out of money & enthusiasm!!

And not a happy situation if that is the entrance to the inside of the electric shower ! Check it really is the rigth size. Then check for the ring as johnk suggested, and having proven that is there, consider ways to gum it up. A plumbing supply shop can probably advise.
When you say seal Albags, do you mean the washer? 'Cos both hoses have those. When I say wide bore hose I'm not sure I know what I am talking about!!! My previous hose is 55mm circumference (not diameter), doesn't leak but won't fit in the slidey shower head holder. The new one is approx 44mm circumference and leaks. BUT the screw-on bit is the same size on both hoses.
The thread is engaged properly - it fits quite snugly, that's why I can't understand the leak, when my old one is fine. I would use the old one, but it won't fit thro' the gap on the slidey thing on the new riser, and the old riser is a lot thinner or I could use the slidey thing off the old one! Confused? I am - my brain is mashed!!
By the head, I'm thinking you mean the screwy on bit that fits on my shower? If so, it is metal (on both hoses).
