Infrared neck loops: effect of digital switchover
2 Answers
In preparation for TV switch to digital in my area (Norfolk), at the end of last year I bought a new TV set and had an infrared neckloop installed so that I would be able to receive sound direct through a transmitter on the set in the receiver in the loop. Yesterday I did the final retune for the switch over, and the loop is of course no longer functioning. It was installed by the Sensory Support Unit, whose funding has now been severely reduced by Norfolk County Council, so it’s unlikely advice will be available from them. Information will be welcome.
