Royal Jelly and Propolis Tincture

I've just started taking these from an independent supplier - no bees were harmed in the making apparently!
They both taste absolutely vile but I shall persevere - anyone else had any experience of these products and seen any benefit?

Additionally, a teaspoon of Chia Seeds in the mix (I mix it with a soy based, flavored protein shake mix, twice daily) also helps the texture and flavor.
Here, in the U.S., I've been using this mix for about 6 months, and I, too, have noticed that, many round me are experiencing colds and sinus infections, I'm not. I haven't had a cold in over 5 years (I also take echinacea). Old wive's tale? Maybe, but I can't argue with the results.
I also believe that I experience an increased energy level. I ran out of the pollen/royal jelly for about 10 days before I could get it ordered in and Mrs. C said I was noticeably grouchier... if that's possible. Back to my mellow self now...

I'm interested in coccinelle's answer as that is exactly what I've found. I've been taking royal jelly for over twenty years now and I hardly ever get colds, or if I do get one, I only get very mild symptoms. I stopped taking it for a while many years ago and I started getting colds again, so have taken it ever since. I got my husband to start on it a few years ago and he's found the same. It's not advertised as preventing colds, but I'm sure it helps. I'm quite sceptical about most herbal remedies etc but royal jelly I'm a great fan of. I get the 500mg ones from Holland & Barrett, not the cheapest but I stock up when they have their sales of buy one, get a second one for a penny.
