Problems with my newly installed TiVo box

I had 2 TiVo boxes installed 10 days age- the main one in the Living Room & another in an upstairs room. The one downstairs is fine but I have lost service to the upstairs one. I have spent several frustrating hours on the phone to the Virgin helpdesk ( but I may have been better trying the Virgin Mary!) & they have condescended to book an engineer for next Tuesday. Can anyone give me any ideas of things I can try in the meantime? I have stuff I want to watch as I'm busy all this week so won't get time to catch it. Cheers

No-one can help unless you provide all the connection details and how incoming service is connected up (Virgin fibre optic?)
