Swiss Cottage

I am aware that this may be the most stupid question ever posted on this website, but I'm asking it anyway. Is there really some kind of swiss cottage in Swiss Cottage in London? If there isn't, how did it get its name?

This is the answer to that previous question: Lennon wrote "Yes there is a Swiss Cottage. Its been there a long time and is actually a really nice building (even though its almost like a traffic island at the top of Finchley Road - would be even better in nicer surroundings.) Its a big pub now and hotel I think, not sure what it was originally - nothing came up on google."

It was a pub and restaurant 30 years ago and not new then
