ME!!!!!!!!!! I love snow want it to start xmas eve so its magical and beautiful on christmas morning I want to put on my silly flowery wellies and kick my way through it and go home to heinz tomato soup and a cuddle
too long, fluffy, it can snow at 23.59 on Dec 24 and be melted by say lunchtime on Boxing Day, that should allow everyone to fleece the bookies while not incommoding me.
In a way I would like the Christmas you describe but that would mean my sister wouldn't be able to get to us from London and she's a vital part of our Christmas, it would be pretty dull without her so I'm happy to stick with wind and rain.
Although I would generally prefer it not to snow at all. In fact, I would rather the temperature never dropped below 25 degrees during the day but alas, I know my dreams are merely candles in the wind.
I`ve never had a proper white christmas. Just a light dusting. I`d love one but I won`t be able to get home from work on christmas morning and would be completely scuppered.
We had a white Christmas in the South last year for the first time in years and years. It didn't actually snow but there was thick snow on the ground that had been there a week without melting. I had foot long icicles hanging off my thatched roof. It was all absolutely beautiful so yes I'd love it.
I love snow though wouldn't want it to stop me from getting home on Christmas Eve or travel on Christmas Day so I can see my baby nephew on his first Christmas in the UK or get back home ok - got caught in the snow both ways last year and took me about 8 hours to get home on Boxing Day via coach then a bus ride as close to home as I could get with what was running so as not to pay as extortionate a taxi fare as I might have going all the way from town.
We had amazing icicles too last year and was lovely going for a walk up to the fields to look over the hills in the snow while the sun was setting, just stunning and so much more unspoilt than when it snows in the city.
