So I've tried to book for lunch next week at a restaurant called The Ivy.

Almost inevitably, it's booked up.

Almost inevitably, they would find a table for a high profile client.

So ...

If I phone back and say I need a table for four, for Sarah Doukas, say.

The three of us turn up, and say we are expecting Ms Doukas anytime.

Then we "get a text message" ... she's not going to make it, so we'd better order.

Immoral?

Not?

Oh, and I couldn't get a table at The Wolseley, either.

Would you do the fake?

You would, right?

Yes?

I'm very tempted.

LOL

Hello, beejay x
Sarah who ?

Whist the morality of lying is generally not to do so, if some business is going to be able to service one person but treat you as nothing compared to them, then they deserve any work-around their potential customers get up to.

That said any business who didn't treat me as they ought, and implied I was nothing compared to some nobody, isn't worthy of my custom anyway.
... looks like JJ has to book the AB awayday at the Ivy then ...

I'll have the larks tongues in aspic followed by the roast peacock please ;)
