Blowing an absolute gale here in Leicestershire, been raining but dry at the mo - forecasts heavy rain later - certainly not a day to go out Christmas shopping but needs must!

It's wet and dreich here and the wind is rising..... I was hoping that the red alert was going to turn out to be a damp squib but I fear perhaps not.

A late good morning from me....I've been hiding in my bed....the winds are terrifying today... I can't hear myself think! LOTS of snow on the Snowdon range too...I hope it stays up there, just out of harms way. Brrrrrrrrr
