The moon's only just risen here in the south of England, so we missed it too - beautiful big shiny very chilly-looking full moon!

My understanding was that it was only visable in parts of Scotland. We had a really clear day here in the SE (although I was asleep at the appropriate time) but we wouldn`t have seen it anyway.

There is a ring of light ( Halo) around the Moon here in East Anglia a sign of ice crystals in the upper atmosphere, going to be very cold.

Eddie , my Dad always said that if there is a ring around the moon, that is a sign of bad weather. Maybe there is some truth in it.
