Recommended hotel Canary islands

Hi, we are wanting to go to the Canaries next christmas 2012, can anyone recommend a nice hotel with a pool not too far away from the airport and fairly near the sea. Thanks.

if you can give more details about the kind of hotel you are looking for, 3* 4* 5*
Self catering, half/full board, family/adult only. close to night life, or away from the holiday crowd.

We dont mind what star it is as long as its clean, near the beach, not to far from the airport, harbour and restaurants, walking distance an advantage. 6 adults 1 5 year old, not right on top of the night life but in easy reach, not to worried either with what island but dont want to transfer to the hotel. Do you mean you want to walk out of the airport and walk to a hotel?? Might be a bit noisy. I've only been to Gran Canaria and Tenerife and don't think either had holiday type hotels by the airport.

Oh no what i mean is about 15/20 min drive is fine but not too far. x

The resorts of Los Cristianos and Playa Americas on Tenerife are about 15-20 mins from airport. There are a lot of good hotels that fit your bill. All are close to beaches, restaurants, bars. Have a look at The Med Palace and Sir Anthony. The La Pinta, The Guayarmina Princess, The Bouganville, Princess Dacil, Arona Gran. Vulcano. But you will have to have some kind of transport to the resorts which ever island you choose, Whether its taxi self drive public or holiday transfer.
