Isnt it sad they have to advertise on Ebay for food? Instead of the tinsel I bought a cat and dog a Christmas dinner. No doubt they will be flooded after Christams with the idiots who buy a dog or cat then realise they grow, chew things and cost money!

I'm glad you posted this, CreamSoda. I've just made a donation as well. I hope you have a speedy recovery yourself.
Awwwwwww, how sad.
I wouldn't give to the RSPCA if they were the only animal charity in the world. I prefer to give directly to my local shelter (goods, not money) and then I know it is going to benefit the animals, not to pay the inflated salary of some high up manager etc.
CreamSoda: I'm neither a tinsel nor an ebay person- hence my first answer. I do hope that you are "up and at 'em" soon!
Actually, if this were advertised more I think the RSPCA would get shed loads of £1 donations - mine will be done in 2 mins =)

Thanks to all who wished me well, its tough but I have to also remember one family are without their son this Christmas, he was only 21. I'm sure the animals thank you too:)
daffy - a lot of people make that mistake. If you write a cheque out to just RSPCA, then yes it goes to their HQ's and the local branches who receive little or no help from HQ's don't benefit. I make a cheque out to my local RSPCA and put 'Warrington' before RSPCA and they get to keep all the money which is used to buy food and so on for the dogs, cats, rabbits etc in their care.

CreamSoda - good on you. Hope you're soon up and running !
I take tins of food to the cat rehoming place locally..whenever I see really good bargains in the pound shops or bargain stores...not a lot but they DO appreciate it...
Every bit helps. All animal charities are desperate for food just now.
