I have lost the keys to the double glazing in my livingroom. I can close the window but not fully and there is a gale blowing into the livingroom.

I know that I should be able to get new keys - but from where? A joiner? A key cutting person?

Help - please.

Locksmith ?
Are the keys specific to your windows? In my experience, window keys are not cut individually, so some suitable for your windows may be easily available in DIY stores. You may even find a neighbour or relative can lend you a key that will fit your windows so you can close them immediately.
But you'd still need the ID number wouldn't you ? Or you may be there a while trying different keys.

Nah - I have different keys for all the windows. I have phoned a locksmith (I left a message) but if all else fails I will use my usual tool kit to 'fix' the problem. Masking tape and something else equally inappropriate.

OG/B00 - will have a look at your link. My eyesight is pretty cr4p and if there is a number on the lock it is way too small for me to see.
